During the last ten years, Juanfra Godoy has been working on styles such as power-pop, jazz, acid-jazz and electronic music, shining ahead from the underground spanish scene (leading bands like Art School and Shift), working together with dozens of musicians and songwriters, and spreading out his talent over stages in Spain, Germany and The United States of America. Now, Juanfra Godoy is called Harry Up!, a definitive label which embraces the whole set of his various musical roles: his electro-rock band, his Dj sessions, and his work as writer/producer of music for TV and movies.
In May, 2004, Juanfra Godoy was nationally awarded by Sociedad General de Autores y Editores and Fundación Autor as "young songwriter of the year" in the workshop CONCIERTO AUTOR, TALLER DE CANCIONES 2004. Because of this award, he shots a videoclip (to be played in spanish TV channels as MTV España, Canal 40 Latino, Sol Música, etc...), and he enroled in a spanish promotional tour, which drove Harry's expedition to play in July, 7th 2004 to Mediatic Festival (Alcoy-Alacant), to Razzmatazz Club(Barcelona) in September, 2nd 2005, and in October, 7th to Galileo Galilei (Madrid).
Harry Up! has been awarded with the second prize at the Spanish National Contest Heineken Greenspace. In November, 4th 2006 he played in the final round in Valencia (sharing stage with Jamie Cullum, Mathew Herbert, Juliette and the Licks, El Niño Josele and Vanexxa) (www.heineken.es).
Harry Up! has got the second place in the National Finals of the International Rock Contest The Global Battle of the Bands, and he will be playing live on November, 11st 2006 at Grutal 77 - Madrid (www.gbob.com).
In Jan, 20th 2007, Harry Up! was qualified as one of the three finalist bands in the spanish national contest Belladurmiente.com 2006. Once again, we congratulate!
In April, 19th 2007, Harry Up! has been selected as one of the finalist bands in the spanish national contest FESTIMAD SUR 2007 (www.festimad.es). He will be playing live in Madrid in May, 15th.
